Our facility offers support for the analysis of a wide variety of analytes using mass spectrometry based techniques. We are located in the second basement (B2) level of the Northwest Laboratory building at 52 Oxford Street, Cambridge, MA 02138.  We provide services for molecular formula confirmation (accurate mass measurement), structural elucidation (MS/MS) and quantitation of small molecules.  In addition, we can assist you in the mass analysis of a wide variety of  samples including metabolites, medium sized proteins and oligonucleotides. We also have a quick-protein ID method using MALDI-TOF/TOF which is suitable for purified proteins.  If you have more complex protein samples or want protein quantification, please contact the Proteomics Core (MSPRL). We have instrumentation and expertise in multiple ionization techniques including electrospray, APCI, MALDI, EI and CI to cover a wide range of molecular structures. If you are planning to submit samples or use the instruments in our Open Access Laboratory, please contact us first, and we can help you through the process of registration.  We would love to hear from you and help you with your particular sample analysis needs. You can call Sunia at (617) 384-9585 or email us at massspec@chemistry.harvard.edu.
