Kelly Chatman

Kelly is an experienced analytical scientist and mass spectrometrist who develops custom LC-MS methods for quantification of small molecules. He also specializes in targeted metabolomics studies including the large scale LC-MS analysis of hydrophilic metabolites. Prior to joining Harvard's Small Molecule Mass Spectrometry group, Kelly worked with mass spectrometry in various settings including biotechnology where he developed novel LC/MS/MS methods for high-throughput screening of small molecules and metabolites, The Scripps Research Institute where he performed multiple mass spectrometry techniques including high-resolution MALDI-FTMS, ESI, nano-ESI, and MALDI-TOF, and an environmental lab performing quantitative GC-MS analyses. Outside the lab, Kelly’s interests include travelling, SCUBA and skiing.
