Submitting Samples

Once your account has been approved and setup, you can submit samples by logging in. Typically, your login is of the form Firstname_Lastname. The login is case specific! Once logged in, you can request analysis as shown here.

Next, fill in the required information. The default billing method is "Expense Code". If you are from one of the FAS departments like CCB, MCB or OEB, or Harvard Medical School, you have a 33 digit expense code. You paste it in the field for teh expense code. The object code for us is -8250-. If you are from a Harvard affiliated institution like MGH, Childrens Hospital etc., or other institution or company, you will likely be paying by a purchase order. You need to select Purchase Order instead of Expense Code, and upload the .pdf file of the formal purchase order. When you are submitting multiple samples, please submitting an Excel or Word file with sample description. Don’t hit “Add sample” or it will create a second sample record. We prefer a single sample record because it is easier in the LIMS system to process the whole set as a single submission. You can indicate both the number of samples and upload a file to provide us with information on the whole set.

The different samples should be instead described in a Word or Excel list and uploaded as shown below:

Finally, when you have entered all the needed information, please don't forget to hit the "Submit" button. It may take several seconds to process this entry. However, if this final step is not done, a sample entry is not created.
